Description

Aluminum is a great and common material used in the EDC community. Its known for being tough and rigid while maintaining a lightweight feel. What its not known for is extensive anodizing being that the process is vastly different than titanium anodizing. Our capabilities have always been slim to none when speaking in terms of offered services for Aluminum. Recently we've been experimenting with a solution that offers nice deep black finishes on aluminum. That, combined with our laser skills, we're able to offer a handful more of services for aluminum, one of them being our Aluma Blackening.

Send in your anodized (or raw) aluminum handles or parts to turn them black! This service is accompanied by a bead blast, so please keep in mind the results will typically be a matte finish.

What this service is good for -

- Scuff marks through the stock color. Aluma-black will fill the missing colors in most cases. Please note that if you have blue knife with scuff or carry marks, they will be filled in black.

- If you're wanting to turn your aluminum item that's currently another color and want to go black instead.

- Those that have had a Laser Grip, Barking, or any other service to their aluminum that included a bead blast that wants to change the color from light grey to black.

This service can be applied to handles, spacers, collars, tools, or anything aluminum but must be free of any and all other components, IE flashlights. if your item contains any electrical, it must be free of said components prior to arriving at our facility. If you have any questions, please consider a Mod Consultation or reach out via email and we can help.

Photos shown above are for black reference only and are shown with additional options. This service is only for the blackening of aluminum.
