Balisongs/Butterfly Knives

A balisong, also known as a fan knife, butterfly knife or Batangas knife, is a folding pocket knife. Its distinct features are two handles counter-rotating around the tang such that, when closed, the blade is concealed within grooves in the handles. Originating in the Filipino Culture, these blades were traditionally used in self defense situations. Though they can be used as such today, they're more prominent in the trick/stunt/flipping culture to be used in recreation.
