One of the defining characteristics of this distinctive version of the Dragonfly 2 is its blade, which is crafted from Crucible® Industries' CPM® CRU-WEAR®—an air-hardening tool steel specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness. CRU-WEAR's advanced alloy composition allows it to excel in applications that require greater wear resistance than D2, more toughness than M2 high speed steel, or both. The CRU-WEAR used in this knife's blade is also enhanced by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process, which ensures an ultra-fine, extremely homogeneous grain structure that maximizes the performance potential of the steel. 

The PlainEdge™ blade of this exclusive knife is full-flat ground for exceptional edge geometry and proudly features Spyderco's signature Trademark Round Hole™ for swift, ambidextrous one-handed opening. To eliminate its reflective properties and help protect it from corrosion, the blade is also cloaked in a handsome black titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating. 

Equally unique, the handle of this elite knife is constructed with full stainless steel liners and smooth solid carbon fiber scales. A reversible deep-pocket wire clip ensures instant access by offering a choice of left or right-side tip-up carry. To complement the black blade, the clip and all other handle hardware of this knife also have durable black coatings.
