The blade of this remarkable knife is unique for two reasons. First, it features a  dramatic tanto-style profile that combines a hollow-ground primary bevel, a faceted flat-ground tip, and a long swedge (unsharpened bevel) on the spine to create an exceptional synthesis of strength, edge geometry, and point utility. It is also crafted from CPM® M4, a special purpose high speed tool steel produced by the particle metallurgy process. CPM M4's sophisticated alloy composition, high vanadium content, and extremely fine grain structure give it exceptional wear resistance and toughness—properties that translate to outstanding edge retention and impact resistance in knife blades.

In keeping with Blade HQ's signature style, the handle of this knife features peel-ply-textured natural G-10 scales. All its other characteristics are consistent with the time-tested Para Military 2 platform, including nested stainless steel liners, Spyderco's patented Compression Lock® mechanism, and a lightweight, easily cleaned, open-backed construction style. The handle also features a generously sized lined lanyard hole for the easy attachment of lanyards or fobs and a four-position pocket clip that supports ambidextrous tip-up or tip-down carry.
