This unique knife was produced for and available exclusively through Blade HQ and their sales channels. 

Based on a knife designed by renowned custom knifemaker Kevin Smock, the Smock is a utilitarian folding knife that incorporates a clever variation of Spyderco's Compression Lock® mechanism. Unlike most versions of this lock, which are released by applying lateral pressure directly to the knife's stainless steel liner, the Smock has a button built into the obverse (front) side scale. Pushing the button releases the lock and makes one-handed operation of the knife even simpler and easier.

This Exclusive version of the Smock proudly includes all the defining characteristics of this design, but elevates them with Blade HQ's signature blade steel and natural G-10 handle scales. Its hollow-ground blade is precision machined from CPM® M4, a high speed tool steel produced by the particle metallurgy process. This steel's advanced alloy composition, high vanadium content, and extremely fine grain structure give it exceptional wear resistance and toughness—properties that translate to outstanding edge retention and impact resistance in knife blades.

The handle's natural-colored G-10 scales accentuate the knife's sleek design and their peel-ply texture ensures a secure, non-slip grip. 

A truly remarkable rendition of one of Spyderco's most dynamic models, this Exclusive Smock folder is available in two versions: one with a satin-finished blade and matching handle hardware and one with a black  titanium-carbonitride (TiCN) coated blade and black-coated handle hardware and clip.
